2023 Racing League Fixtures Announced

Yarmouth, Chepstow & Wolverhampton Join Racing League 2023

Racing League is delighted to confirm the fixtures for the 2023 competition, with evening meetings taking place at Yarmouth, Chepstow, Windsor, Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Southwell

Windsor, Newcastle and Southwell staged Racing League fixtures in 2022, while Yarmouth, Chepstow and Wolverhampton are new additions for 2023, providing a greater geographical spread of meetings. All the action will be shown live on ITV Racing and Sky Sports Racing.

July 27 – Yarmouth
August 10 – Chepstow
August 17 – Windsor
August 31 – Newcastle
September 7 – Wolverhampton
September 13 – Southwell

The seven teams in Racing League will remain the same in 2023, and Wales & The West will be looking to follow-up their sensational last-gasp victory over London & The South in 2022.

Ireland, Scotland, The East, The North and Yorkshire will also be battling it out across the 42 races, with prize money in excess of £2 million up for grabs.

The winning team will receive a bonus of £50,000, with £5,000 awarded to each of the winning team’s seven jockeys, and £20,000 to the jockey that scores the most individual points over the competition.

Jeremy Wray, CEO of Racing League, said: “The aim is always to grow and improve the Racing League from one year to the next.

“Moving to tracks around the regions offers the opportunity to encourage more local support, while adjusting the ratings bands of some races will broaden the number of horses and owners involved.”

David Evans contributed the most runners to the victorious Wales & The West team in 2022, earning his stable staff a bonus of £8,450.
Evans said: “Racing League is a brilliant concept and far more racing should be like this. The prize money for everyone involved – owners, trainers and stable staff – is fantastic.”
Chris Grassick, joint trainer with William Muir, also formed part of the Wales & The West team, with his stable picking up over £7,000 as part of the winner’s bonus.
He said: “The prize money and competitive racing made for an exciting day out for both owners and staff. The hospitality for the owners was top class and being part of the winning team was great for the hardworking team at home who all got to share in the prize fund. We are looking forward to being involved in an even bigger and better Racing League next year.”

Racing League is seeking licensed trainers from the UK and Ireland who would like to be part of a team in the 2023 competition.
