London & The South will look to stamp its authority on Racing League as season five reaches its conclusion at Southwell on Thursday, August 28. With a 125-point lead over closest challenger The East, Matt Chapman’s team is long odds-on to claim a maiden Racing League title having finished second in 2022 and third for the past two seasons.

London & The South has one hand on the Racing League trophy after increasing its lead on the penultimate night of the competition at Newcastle. Having started the evening 95 points in front, Matt Chapman’s team is now 125 points clear of closest challenger The East ahead of next week’s finale at Southwell

London & The South delivered a potentially decisive blow to its Racing League rivals as the second half of the competition started at Windsor. Matt Chapman’s side began the evening in second place, 16 points behind The East, but now finds itself 95 points clear with an overall total of 581.

Season five of Racing League is shaping up to be the most exciting yet, with four teams firmly in contention following night three at Chepstow. The East remains top of the standings at the halfway stage with an overall points tally of 395. London & The South is second on 379, with Yorkshire third on 353 and Scotland fourth on 328.

The East leads Racing League following night two at Wolverhampton, on a card where six of the seven teams sent out winners. The East tops the table with 289 points after leapfrogging London & The South (270) and Scotland (259), although Charlie Fellowes’ side is the only team to have played both allocated jokers.

London & The South and Scotland were the standout teams as season five of Racing League started at Great Yarmouth, with both sides sending out three winners on the night.
