There was no final night upset in season five of Racing League as London & The South celebrated an ultimately convincing victory at Southwell, with Richard Kingscote securing the top jockey award. London & The South started the meeting with a 125-point cushion and, while closest challenger The East performed admirably with three winners, Matt Chapman’s team sealed the title with a race to spare.

Jamie Osborne hopes Wales & The West can initiate a fightback on home soil as Racing League heads to Chepstow for night three on Thursday, August 7.   The defending champions are on the backfoot after Great Yarmouth and Wolverhampton, with 27 runners across the two fixtures yielding a sole winner and one other top three finish.
